Responsibilities: Physical ability to perform essential functions of a police officer; ability to use all standard police equipment, techniques, and use of force options, good verbal and written communication skills.
Salary: Minocqua Police Department Full-Time starting salary: $25.44. Lateral transfer considered.
Benefits: Benefits include uniforms and some other equipment are supplied. Applicants would provide all other necessary equipment.
Qualifications: Minocqua and Woodruff are progressive, forward thinking departments committed to problem-oriented, and community policing concepts. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications: U.S. citizen; Driver’s License; good driving record; High school diploma; a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited university; eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification; Ability to possess a firearm; No felony convictions; No domestic abuse convictions; Vision correctable to 20/20; strong verbal and written communication skills; willingness to work weekends/ holidays/ evenings; ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment; Ability to react quickly and effectively to stressful situations; Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; Ability to perform essential functions of this position; physical fitness.
