Fatal Crash on ST HWY 70, ¼ Mile East of the Price County Line, in Minocqua
On September 22, 2016 at approximately 6:58 p.m., the Minocqua Police Department responded to a one vehicle crash on ST HWY 70, ¼ mile east of the Price County Line, in Minocqua, WI. A vehicle was traveling eastbound on ST HWY 70 when it lost control, crossed over the center line and entered the northern ditch of ST HWY 70. The vehicle then rolled and struck some trees near the ditch line. The driver, who was the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
This incident is still under investigation and specific details of the crash are not being released at this time. The Minocqua Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the following agencies: Minocqua Fire and Rescue, Vilas County Sheriff’s Department, Howard Young Medical Center (HYMC) Med 5 Paramedics and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
