Fatal Crash on HWY 70

Fatal Crash on Hwy 70 in Minocqua

On November 7, 2020 at approximately 9:52pm, the Minocqua Police Department responded to a motorcycle vs. deer crash on Hwy 70, East of Mercer Lake Rd in Minocqua, WI.  The driver of the motorcycle, Richard P. Beaudoin (62), from Lac Du Flambeau, was westbound on Hwy 70 when he struck a deer then went off of the roadway.  Beaudoin was pronounced dead at the scene. 

This incident is still under investigation and specific details of the crash are not being released at this time.  The Minocqua Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the following agencies:  Wisconsin State Patrol, Oneida County EMS (Medic 5), Minocqua Fire Department, GLIFWC (Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission) and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office.
