Responsibilities:       Physical ability to perform essential functions of a police officer; ability to use all standard police equipment, techniques, and use of force options, good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:           Minocqua Police Department is a forward- thinking department committed to problem-oriented, and community policing concepts.   Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:  U.S. citizen; Driver’s License; good driving record; High school diploma; a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited university; eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification; Ability to possess a firearm; No felony convictions; No domestic abuse convictions; Vision correctable to 20/20; strong verbal and written communication skills; willingness to work weekends/ holidays/ evenings; ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment; Ability to react quickly and effectively to stressful situations; Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; Ability to perform essential functions of this position; physical fitness.
