On Monday May 04, 2026 at 7:04AM the Minocqua Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of STH 51 in the area of Wausau Homes. It was reported that a truck pulling a trailer and a semi crashed.

Upon arriving on scene, it was discovered the vehicles involved were a truck pulling an enclosed trailer and a box truck. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on STH 51 prior to the crash. There were no injuries as a result of this crash. This crash remains under investigation.

One northbound lane of US 51 was closed for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes as a result of this incident.

The Minocqua Police Department was assisted by Minocqua Fire Department, County Ambulance Service, and Kumbiers Towing.
